About Me

Austin McCrea, professionally known as Austy, is a distinguished Music Producer, Sound Engineer, and award-winning DJ hailing from the beaches of Perth, Western Australia. With a commendable 15 years of DJing experience, Austy has successfully orchestrated over 500 weddings, corporate functions, and private events, in addition to numerous nightclub and bar residencies across the city. His unique performances have even taken him to perform ontop of the iconic Bell Tower!

During the 2010s, Austy showcased his original music at prominent music festivals such as Southbound, Listen Out, Groovin’ the Moo, and Splendour in the Grass in Byron Bay. His talent and versatility have led him to support and perform alongside renowned artists including Rüfüs Du Sol, A-Trak, Alison Wonderland, Safia, ASAP Ferg, Peking Duk, and Hayden James. In 2019, Austy achieved notable recognition by winning the prestigious Habitat DJ Competition at Geisha Nightclub, Perth’s leading underground DJ competition.

Presently, Austy holds residencies at several popular venues around Perth, including Stables, The Reveley, QT Hotel Rooftop, and Good Company, under the esteemed Streamline Entertainment Agency. Throughout his illustrious career, Austy has curated an extensive collection of timeless music, spanning from 70s disco, 80s rock, and 90s/00s dance and pop, to contemporary chart-toppers. His boundless passion for music is evident in his seamless ability to navigate various genres and musical eras. He welcomes requests and song lists, ensuring that he can cater to your musical preferences and make your event a truly unforgettable occasion.
